Alisson ‘very happy’ at Roma and will stay in Italy, claims World Cup winner Claudio Taffarel

The Brazil goalkeeper coach says it’s all ‘just rumours’

Liverpool have been told goalkeeping target Alisson is “very happy” at Roma and would be “content” to remain at the club.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Brazilian goalkeeper, though Serie A side Roma are determined to hold onto their man.

Following Loris Karius’ poor display in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, many Liverpool fans have demanded he be replaced.

However, it seems they should not get their hopes up just yet.

1994 World Cup winner, now Alisson’s international goalkeeping coach, Claudio Taffarel told Tele Radio Stereo: “Alisson is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours.

“I don’t know what will happen, but he said he’d be content to remain at Roma.”

This news comes just days after a big transfer blow for Jurgen Klopp’s men, as Lyon announced Nabil Fekir will not be moving to Liverpool despite lengthy negotiations.
