The France goalkeeper’s mistake ultimately didn’t cost them as they claimed World Cup glory
Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris made a shocking mistake during France’s World Cup final win over Croatia on Sunday.
The French captain far from led by example as he casually attempted to knock the ball around Mario Mandzukic with the ball at his feet inside his own penalty area.
Mandzukic simply tackled Lloris as he attempted to do so and knocked the ball into the back of the net as a result.
Thankfully for France, they were already 4-1 up at the time and the goal ended up as a mere consolation.
