
Chekca Creating a Buzz with “My Everything”
Chekca is pleased with the attention his latest single, titled “My Everything” is receiving and the buzz the song is creating since it was premiered on social media in October 2017.
The Florida based Reggae Singer and Songwriter who hails from Claremont in St. Ann, Jamaica has been recording professionally since he was twenty (20) years old. His catalog includes numerous singles and two albums; “My Story” and “No Lie”.
The singer who has a knack for writing about his personal experiences and social topics, choose to express his gratitude in “My Everything” to his partner for standing by him always, no matter the circumstances. He is confident that the new single will become a hit that will reach the masses and connect him with people who can relate to the content of the song.
“You know in life we take for granted what our partners do for us and so I decided to express my gratitude to my Queen for being there with me and for me on my journey. I know many can relate to what the song is saying so I recorded it not just for me, but for everyone who is thankful for what others do for them in both good and bad times,” says Chekca.
“My Everything” which is available for download on all major digital distribution channels has been receiving airplay on traditional and internet radio stations in Jamaica, other Caribbean Islands and in the USA.
The singer who was influenced by reggae greats such as Bob Marley, Maxi Priest, Frankie Paul, Dennis Brown and Lucky Dube is pleased with the attention he is now receiving through interviews from radio stations in the country of his birth, as one of his goals is to become a household name in Jamaica. He has also been featured on entertainment blogs in the Caribbean.
He shares, “I am really pleased that radio DJs and other people like the song and giving it some airplay. I have been doing music along time and want this one to be a hit”
Chekca is turning things up to release a music video for “My Everything”, as well as a couple other singles and his third album, which is expected later this year or early 2019.
