Parkland, Florida Shooting
My name is Danielle Tylim and I am a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas massacre in Parkland , Florida.
I made it out alive but unfortunately some of my friends did not. I am angry, grief stricken and determined to honor those lost to this unexplainable act of terror.
This is the second time that my family has been a victim of a mass shooting.
My 2 older brothers were survivors of the 1999 mass shooting at the JCC in Granada Hills California. My mom was pregnant with me at the time.
My parents have often spoken of that tragedy and my brothers are emotionally scarred for life and now here I am, !8 years later another surviving victim of a massacre .
I need to tell this story. How could this happen to one family twice on 2 different coasts of this country?
