Shaqiri did not rule out a move to the European leagues
Xherdan Shaqiri has admitted he would like to sign for another Premier League club as he plots a move away from relegated Stoke City.
The winger issued a come-and-get-me-plea in an interview with a Swiss newspaper insisting he would like to stay in England.
The Switzerland international scored eight goals last term and a number of Premier League clubs have been linked to him.
However, despite his preference for staying in the Premier League, Shaqiri refused to rule out a move to the continent.
He told Aargauer Zeitung: “It is no secret that I will leave the club.
“I think the (English) league is perfect for me.
“I would love to stay in England but I don’t want to rule anything out. It’s the best league with the best players.”
