Lydia has had a lifelong struggle with schizophrenia and has been in care since 2004. In 2020 she was encouraged to draw by her daughter, Sally who noticed felt tip pens on a nearby table. Lydia studied a pen, how the pen felt in her hands for several minutes before removing the top and making her first mark.
Since then Lydia has produced a drawing every week.
Lydia’s remarkable work was chosen as a finalist in an exhibition, “Dreams and Visions” organized by The College of Psychic Studies, and is represented by the Henry Boxer Gallery.
