The Danish talisman is currently in contract talks with Spurs
Real Madrid are eyeing up a possible move for Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen.
The Danish midfielder is deep in contract talks with his club at present, but is yet to sign a new deal which will ensure his future remains in North London.
Now, according to the Sun, proceedings could be complicated further as Real Madrid have earmarked Eriksen as their favoured replacement for Luka Modric, should he depart and join Inter Milan.
Spurs know that their midfielder’s contract doesn’t expire until 2020, though they are attempting to secure his services for the long-term with no agreement so far.
Inter meanwhile have been eyeing up a statement signing of Luka Modric this summer.
Real seem reluctant to sell, however appear to be making plans for a scenario in which the World Cup finalist does head to the San Siro.
