The Lilywhites are reported to have bid around £23million for the 25-year-old
Tottenham have made a formal offer for Nice attacker Alassane Plea, according to reports.
Plea, 25, was linked with a move to the Lilywhites earlier this week, though Borussia Monchengladbach of Germany were also named as suitors of his.
Plea has established himself as a fine goal scorer in France’s Ligue 1
But Spurs look to have pressed forward with their interest to get ahead in the race for Plea, with RMC claiming the north Londoners have submitted a formal bid worth around £23million (€26m) to Nice for Plea.
Plea, capped at Under-21 level by France, scored 16 goals in 35 Ligue 1 outfits last term, and he’s developed into one of the division’s most reliable goal scorers since joining Nice from Lyon – his first club – in summer 2014.
