The captain played a huge role in helping Fulham earn promotion back to the Premier League
Fulham captain Tom Cairney has committed his future to the newly-promoted Premier League club by signing a five-year deal.
The 27-year-old, who was the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from Craven Cottage, will remain at the club until the summer of 2023.
Cairney played an integral role in Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League last season, scoring the winner in the play-off final against Aston Villa at Wembley.
He told Fulham’s official website: “I’m obviously delighted to extend my contract, it’s all I’ve wanted to do, and I’m just buzzing to get the season under way.
“Premier League football is back at the Cottage and it’s great to be part of the squad that got us there again.”
