According to widespread reports, Pochettino is Madrid’s number-one choice to replace Zinedine Zidane in the Bernabeu hotseat.
And now the Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Spurs would be keen on appointing Sarri should their current manager leave.
Sarri had become the favourite to take over at Chelsea with Antonio Conte seemingly set to leave but the Blues have so far refused to pay Napoli his £7m release clause.
Sarri is currently involved in a legal dispute with Napoli which could end up in court.
But it has been suggested that this will not affect Tottenham’s potential attempt to lure him to north London in the event of Pochettino’s departure.
