The Hammers are nearing a move for the Brazilian
West Ham are set to shatter their transfer record with the £40m signing of Felipe Anderson from Lazio and have applied for a work permit to complete the deal.
The Brazilian has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, with the Blues rumoured to be plotting a move, however it seems Anderson is now headed to East London.
Having appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager in June, the Hammers have set about rebuilding their squad.
Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Lukasz Fabianski have already arrived at the London Stadium this summer.
Now that West Ham have increased their offer, it appears the 25-year-old attacking midfielder will become their sixth signing under Pellegrini.
According to the Mail, West Ham will pay an initial £37m for Anderson with add-ons rounding the total up to £40m.
