Red Devils will get a cash windfall if the £88million transfer is completed
Manchester United could benefit from Cristiano Ronaldo’s reported transfer to Juventus with a cash windfall.
It appears Real Madrid are set to sell the superstar, 33, for £88million to the Italian giants, with ex-Juve director general Luciano Moggi believing a deal has been completed.
It’s a shock move which surfaced in the media just two days ago, despite reports now suggesting Juventus have been plotting the move for much of 2018 but now there are even leaked shirts surfacing.
And the Red Devils, along with Ronaldo’s former clubs Sporting Lisbon and Nacional da Madeira, will get an unpredicted bonus from the surprise deal.
FIFA have a ‘solidarity mechanism’ in place which means any club who has a player between the ages of 12 and 23, their formative years, are entitled to compensation from transfer fees.
And Record in Portugal believe Man United, where the player spent six season and won his first Ballon d’Or, will be due around £2.2m should Ronaldo move for the £88m, which is being reported.
Sporting will get £1.98m, with Nacional receiving £220,000, which will be a handy boost to all the coffers concerned.
